If everyone attended the reunions like they were supposed to, they would know they have a budding author in their midst. That author is willing to send each Martian a copy of his book "The Crotch". It is a story of my neighboors here in Florida and their adventures, wrappped up into one fictionalized Marine with fifty years of service. It should give many hours of enjoyable reading.
Only requirement is a person needs a copy of Microsoft Word on their computer and a printer that can handle over 300 pages before it breaks.

I'm on books #4&5. Dennis has talent. Too bad he can't get published. Has any one else has read one of his books? What do you think about it?

As some might remember; at the last reunion in Pittsburgh I donated three of my books to the raffle. Well, it looks as if I have three new books available for this years reunion in Oklahoma City for the raffle.
If any one would like to purchase one of my books, my publisher had made me a deal to supply them on a reduced price, and some of the books are now in Paperback, making them even cheaper. Those books are: The Crotch, The Stick and Retirement. The new books are: What Grandpa never told Us, A Touch of Home, and The Butcher from Long Island, all in hardcover.
They are priced for roughly $15 to $20 for the paperbacks and 20 to 30 for the hardcover books, depending on shipping costs. I can order them and bring them to the reunion to avoid further shipping costs. If you're interested in purchasing a book. .

To order one before July 1, and I can deliver it to you at the reunion.

I guess I wasn't too clear in my last message.so I'll try again. If you would like one of my books and aren't lucky enough to win one in the raffle; if you'll e-mail me, you can order which ever ones you want, and I won't need payment until I deliver it at the reunion. I won't have the final price until I order them and get the total shipping cost. I need an e-mail from you so I can have a record of who ordered what. When I get your order, I can give a return e-mail with the total price of your order, including shipping to my house. Since the name of the books sometimes gives little information on what the book is about, I'm going to list a little synopsis of each:

The Crotch- a story of a Marine who is on active duty for over fifty years.
The Stick- a story of an Air Force gy who enlists and gets a chance to fly after an incident happens in his B-17. It follows his career until he retires as a Major General.
Retirement- A story of a punk kid that goes into the Navy as a seaman Basic and follows his career until he retires as a Leiutenant-Commander, commader of his own Destroyer. I got a little bit strange with the ending of this book as someone complained I had too many happy endings. (Note:The is a brief section of life on the USS Martian in this book)
The above books are all paperbacks and are a bit cheaper than the rest.
What Grandpa never told Us- A story of a Marine who has a kind of unexpected career path. I'm kind of proud of this one; it caused a neighbor who read it to acknowledge what he had done on D-Day in WWII and he was awarded his Silver Star and other medals in front of his family by Congressmand Feeny in 2007.
A touch of Home- The story of a young girl who wrote to the serviceman from where she grew up during WWII. She gets answers from them and tries to figure out where they were. I think I touched my femminine side a bit here.
The Butcher from Long Island-A Recon Marine who goes AWOL in-country in Viet Nam. He comesback with a resume that says he's a quiet killer, and he finally succeeds in that profession.
The last three books are hardcover and a few dollars more expensive. But with this deal I have with my publisher, I don't think any will cost more than $30.00 with shipping included. Don't forget I have to have the orders by July 1 so I can have them printed up i time for the reunion. If I get a lot of orders, I can get a break on shipping costs and they will be cheaper..

I have read all of Dennis's book and can highly recommend them. My two favorites are "The Crotch" and "Retirement".
