Perhaps Bob would pass the Familygram on to me and I could publish it in the newsletter and or place in on this site for downloading.

Jim...if you will send me your address to my e mail address hotlapsbob@hotmail.com I will send you a copy of the family gram.

And Art...I'll send you a copy of it so it can be published and/or placed here for all to see.

Since it seems that it has helped more than just a couple guys already it would be good to get it out for everyone.

I got this from a white plains sailor. They later sunk it because of the spill. The Mars had to carry some ao

A fork lift operater accidently pierced one of the drums with the front tines of the

Helicopter deck where I was stationed during Vert Rep operations. So I had more than enought chances for
being contaminated.

The following web site is a good reference point to start research on Agent Orange.

There is a VA Rating Decision case dated 23 Apr 2003 for the Sailors of the USS White Plains (AFS-4) approving AO Claims for any crew member at that time. The Claim said that their AO spill was in early August of 1969 when they were in Market Time. They picked up 55 Gal drums (Black with orange writing) of it in Subic and took it to RVN. Letters were submitted by Capt David S. Hunsicker, ChC, USN (ret) and Mr John Robert Winters.
